Had a very interesting phone call this week. An Eastern States based company contacted me with an offer to remover all negative comments from TripAdviser, UrbanSpoon etc and replace them with very favourable mass produced postings. For $200 per month, they will monitor the Feedback Crap sites. They also told me that they are currently working with ten other Perth based restaurants to do exactly this! This is a highly unethical (and probably illegal) practice. Just as unethical as these sites allowing anonymous fake postings where we have no right of reply anyway.
