Had to bring in potted milkweed plants because of so many predators who ate, killed & destroyed over 25+ eggs & little caterpillars. Due to the abundant rain which brought out so many hungry monarch predators. (Never saw anything like it.) In the photos are two monarch who are starting the chrysalis (cocoon) stage of their lives. Unusual is they have done this on the underside of milkweed leaves. Another first for me. You can also see another caterpillar in the background on another plant in the background. 2 other caterpillars are munching away. If they all survive, there will be 5 chrysalises.
