Haha..convo this morning with a military wife and she begins with How long have you been a military wife? I then share 12 years she then asks well has he ever deployed? Me..a time or two. She then goes on about really wanting and needing to talk to a more seasoned person. So I was like ok...how bout you try me....kids issues, hubby issues..she was very adamant that I have not been around long enough...so I stopped her. Look sweetheart...I may have ONLY been married a measly 12 years, together almost 13. Before that I was a child of a military man. Deployed most my life. Granddaughter of a military man. From Cpl. to WO I have either been thru it or I have seen it all. If I cant answer your question after doing this for 39 years your shit out of luck. Her fricken question...I want to know how to stop my hubby from deploying? I swear on my life...I told her to take her hand, (she seriously looked and her hands) and smack your forehead. She looked confused. I asked her how old she was...19. Their is not enough Vodka on the planet for this today! So I then told her maybe if you click your heels three times maybe your desire for him to stay home may come true. I think she got the hint. So, there isnt a way for him to stay home? I was told that if I got pregnant he could stay home. I told her I dont know who you are talking to or how you found me, but no that will not work.
