Happy Birthday to Brazilian guitarist, arranger, and composer Oscar Castro-Neves (May 15, 1940 - September 27, 2013), Considered a founding figure in Bossa Nova. At 16 he had a national hit with Chora Tua Tristeza. He toured with artists such as Stan Getz and Sergio Mendes and performed with a wide variety of talent, Joao Gilberto, Michael Jackson and Diane Schuur to name a few. He was a friend and a great talent. ~ David B
