Happy Wednesday all! NOAA--the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has unveiled the new Earth Day Stamp produced in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service! Pretty, isnt it? It features ocean surface temps as depicted by the supercomputer climate model produced by scientists and modelers at NOAAs Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory in Princeton, NJ. Ive got to get to the Post Office to pick some of these up! By the way, I wanted to share with you the Earth Day emblem produced by our incredibly talented artist Jennifer Kohnke, who along with her amazing artistic colleague and weather page artist Tom Valle, do such a spectacular job in producing our Chicago Tribune and Chicago Weather Center blog graphics.
