Harlans neurosurgeon appointment went as follows. The surgeon is 95% positive this new lesion is a tumor; Ependymoma. Surgery is still scheduled for the 19th. The surgeon put a new something into play too. He brought up leptomeningeal spread. This word means that the cancer could continue to grow and spread and surgery would not be effective. To add a little more to the mix, our oncologist heard from Johns Hopkins today. The surgeon there is not sure that the new lesion is a tumor but he agrees that it needs to be removed and biopsied. We are still awaiting Indiana to weigh in with this latest scan. Obviously this is NOT what we wanted to hear. None of it. But these are the cards weve all been dealt. Im (Jacki) personally not convinced. My God is an awesome God. Ive had that song in my head since last Sunday. I feel there is a reason for that. Please continue to pray. We need prayers of strength and wisdom. Harlan is an amazing kid. I still feel like Gods got plans for our baby. - Jacki
