Have you ever noticed when God is not part of something men always resort to the old tricks of the trade........ Entertainment . If the cross and repentance is not preached then what is the purpose of any gathering . When a lost man leaves any service or gathering having no conviction of their sins what purpose.... if any has been accomplished. There are many people who call themselves Christians who could not give a biblical explanation of the gospel. Now how can you be a Christian if you dont know the gospel? How can you be in Christ if you dont know what the Bible says about how to be in Christ? Flashing lights funny stories or good music are ok but if not accompanied by biblical truth is nothing but seeker friendly entertainment. When the fruits of the Holy Spirit are lacking, it is profane to talk of a person having the Spirit of God. Leanord Ravinhill once said.....The early Church was married to poverty, prisons and persecutions. Today, the church is married to prosperity, personality, and popularity.
