Have you heard of African Wild Dogs? Some of our guests have been lucky enough to spot them on several occasions. Here are some pictures from Bill & Peggys safari with us in April 2014, where they came across one! Ben Lee, who traveled with the Safari Infinity team on a FAM trip also got a few good shots of the sighting! They are known to be extremely social, and tend to share food with the weak or the ill in their pack. Known as highly successful hunters, the dogs communicate by touch, actions and vocalizations. The African Wild Dogs hunt efficiently in packs of 6 up to 20, enabling them to take down large preys. Wild Dogs are unfortunately endangered at the moment, due to human settlement expansion, as well as being very susceptible to diseases spread by domestic animals. Lets hope to see them increase in number in 2015!
