If you don’t have the ability to change, but if you go to God, He has the ability to change everything about you. When you do something you are proud of, dwell on it a little, and praise yourself for it. Each of us is very good at something. Maybe in sports its maybe baseball or tennis or a sports you will enjoy playing where we display our talent. Maybe were good in teaching or at speaking in front of people. A few people have a gift have the talent at being good listeners or helping a friend. To recognize our own talents we may need help from others. Its always so much easier to see our faults, or the ways we dont meet our own expectations. But the fact is we are all have skilled in many areas of our lives. To accept praise--better yet, to quietly give it to ourselves--is a sign of healthy growth. Lord, may we pause to remember that while we have something to offer to others, let us not do a mean act and keep it hidden from others, we cannot keep it hidden from ourselves, nor from You. Help us today to help and offer gifts to someone and to have a nobler sense of the quality of life, and less anxiety for the quantity, that we may avoid harshness and selfishness, let us display the talent that You have given us and let us be a little tenderness and give justice to all we meet today and forever. Amen.
