He is a regular summer visitor to Queensland, he is the Pheasant Coucal and he migrates here to breed, they breed in a grass tussock and ours seem to be the same ones each year and breed in the railway embankment where the grass is quite thick. They have a very distinctive call, oop, oop, oop, rising and falling. They seem to go to New Guinea to winter. They look lovely in flight with their long tails, rather like a Peacock.
