Head to Hertford for the official 2013 Food and Drink Festival on the 12th and 13th October. There’ll be a state of the art demonstration kitchen in Parliament Square on Saturday 12th October as well as a specially extended Farmers market (that’s happening 9-3) Children can enter a cake decorating competition free of charge on the live stage to win great prizes. There’ll be free beer tasting from Hertford’s McMullens Brewery and renown Hertford restaurants Lussmanns and Loch Fyne will be cooking up a storm live on stage with free samples for all. To end the day we have a live DJ on stage to put you in the mood for a night out on the town. On Sunday, it’s Hertford Castle Open Day 12 noon to 4pm. Head down to Hertford Castle to enjoy live brass band music, bouncy castle and see inside the Castle …… dungeons and all! There’ll be more cookery demonstrations at Beckwiths in the afternoon and at The Leaf Café you can design your own hamper and then fill it with goodies from a local supplier for the perfect Christmas gift.
