Because you believe it, you align yourself with the TRUTH as you perceive it in the Word. Those who dont acknowledge the authority of the scriptures obviously dont believe the Word of God. They are not given the ability. They are not children of God, therefore they cant hear His voice in the scriptures, cant have any desire to learn it, and will NEVER have any desire to be saved.
