Hello Everyone, I need you all to do me a favor, on October 24, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. I am having a Vigil in Honor of my son Brandon Mitchner, in order to get a law passed. Brandon passed away on June 28, 2014. A person whom he was with knew he fell in the river and did not seek help until 11 hours later. I am hoping that the TV station News people will be there. It will be going in several newspapers next week. I need you guys to all go on Facebook and post it and spread the word to your friends thru regular e-mail if they do not use face book. The Vigil will start at Suits Tavern 210 S. Washington, Lansing, MI 48933, we will walk from the bar where Brandon started his walk to South Street where Brandon went into the river (down Washington Street). This is a Silent Candle Light Vigil. The Vigil is to get a law passed that if you are with another person and you see that they are in danger, hurt, trouble, sick you must seek help. You cannot go home, walk away. You must call 911, the police, knock on doors, whatever it takes to get this person help but you do not have to do anything that would endanger your life. So please everyone come out on Friday, October 24, at 6:00 at Suits bar on Washington and Allegan downtown Lansing and walk with me in honor of my son Brandon Mitchner. Please keep this going. If people would like a t-shirt the one with Brandons picture on it or any of his other clothing line, get their sizes and I will order them and they can either pick the shirt up at my house or in front of the bar and pay me then. If anyone has any suggestions for things I need to do, please let me know, because I have never done this before. We need this Bill/Law passed in Brandons name so that no other family or friends have to suffer like his family and friends. Thank you all. Shirley Mitchner
