Hello Facebook buddies...been quite a while since Ive ranted about anything. Maybe because I ran out of things that anybody would be interested in my ranting about. The last years have been very trying for everyone I know in the tri-state region. A lot of good jobs have left the area along w/many great people trying to find someplace else in the country, many of you realize that. Doesnt seem very long ago I considered myself a moderate Republican, but as the country has turned more liberal. I mean Im seeing things today that we wouldnt have even considered to be about 10 years ago. I find that Ive always had an interest in what would happen to our country if we went too far to the left. Theres probably some of you out there have no clue what Im talking about; however, I also think a lot of conservatives (myself included) are just afraid to say anything anymore because were convinced it wouldnt matter anyway. Does anyone recall the story of The Kings New Clothes? I feel were standing naked in front of other nations in the world. Let me tell you whats got me all rowled up here... I enjoy listening to talk radio & recently skimming thru channels I stopped to listen to Rush Limbaugh taking calls & he rejected commenting on foreign policy w/some calls which I found unusual for him. It was one of those uh-hummm moments. Today as I watched Face the Nation & other talk shows on T.V. about political matters they were showing clips of Iciss building an army to attack the U.S. Usually theres a round table of many liberals trying to ask conservatives why theyre considered to be old foggies, has beens, or racists for having good old fashioned moral views; however, on todays programs I didnt see such arguments. Instead things were more somber, low keyed, asking themselves how did we get ourselves in this place in the world. And by the way, if youre still reading this far, I appreciate your time & interest, I know its lengthy... Maybe this is too heavy for Facebook or maybe Im just wrong... what do you think?
