Hello, I am new to the group. Thanks for adding me! I would like to share my recent JJ story with you all. My daughter (5yrs old) ask if she could go to her first concert this year (asked back in March). My husband and I said yes, just pick it and we would take her. A month later she brings it up again and says she knows who she wants to go see...JOAN JETT!!!! HELL YES! we said! JJ and The Blackhearts were playing the rib cook off here in Cleveland in May, so we got the tickets early. I started remembering my first concert and other peoples that I have heard about. I decided that my girl needed THE BEST FIRST CONCERT STORY EVER! I wrote a letter to the venue and several other promoters of the cook off asking if there was anyway I could purchase meet and great (if they where an option) tix. I also explained why this sooo important to me- I have a med condition and y daughter is now showing symptoms and being tested, also, she has had alot of death in her young life, but is the most incredible child. I heard nothing, eventually I forgot about it. Three days before the show my phone rings. Guy tells me he has my letter and it was personally handed to him that morning by JOAN JETT! She had some how recieved it and was so touched that she wanted to help my daughter have the best story! She not only gave us meet and greet tix, but she had us come to her dressing room before the show so she could hang with my daughter!! We stayed with her for an hour and a half! She was awesome to my daughter and us!! She sat on the floor with my kid and just shot the shit with her like they old friends! Everything JJ could find she signed and wrote a message on it for my daughter! I LOVE HER EVEN MORE NOW!!!! She is my hero! She even gave me an email address so my kid could keep in touch
