Hello Rockhounds... I am new to the group and was referred to you from one if your other members...I am hoping to identify the stones in this ring that was given to me by my mother along with another ring...they both belonged to my grand/great grand mother I have showed them to 2 jewelers and they didnt know the stones...when you move the ring around on your finger they seen to get translucent almost and change shades of gray and silver...they are definitely round and set in hold...its very old...the second ring that was with this and they belonged to the same person was inscribed inside with a date: from P to M Dec.25,1888...my family immigrated from Ireland and lived in the Boston, MA area...I hope some of this information helps identify these stones...Ive always been curious what they were since they were given to me and since my mom had passed and she has no living relatives there is no one for me to ask...thank for any help you can give me!
