Hello and welcome to the only official facebook page of the Wheels Project, some of you may have heard we had moved, others that we had closed, well let me put everyone right, we where going to move but it all fell through so we just stayed were we are, and formed some good partnerships with local business the first one being D N J Motorcycle Training we are hoping to deliver training courses for 13 to 16 year old young people, on motorcycle riding via the Driving Standards Agency, and we are going to introduce car and motorcycle maintenance courses on evening and weekends these will be aimed at older groups, and if we receive enough interest we will put on a ladies only group, also during school holidays we will be offering the same courses but with a bit off road motorcycling as well. The other partnership we have formed is with Conway Cycles of South Shield, and Override Skate Park, in a joint venture we are going to deliver cycle maintenance courses from the upstairs in Conway Cycles, these will be aimed at young people from the local schools, we are busy fitting out the workshops and hope to fit 5 work stations, we also have some exciting plans for the future, so watch this space, for more info. We are also looking at a completely new service to provide training for the young people in construction services ie; bricklaying, plastering, tiling and joinery. With a bit of luck and some help from STMBC we are looking at moving into unit 2 which is much bigger than our present location, and would allow us to do the extra work. December 6th make note of that date we are having a charity night at the Highlane social club (also known to a lot of people has the Colliery club) tickets cost £5 each, and can be obtained from the Project just ring 4839483 keep your ticket because there will be a prize draw and one lucky winner will win two nights in a hotel, there will be entertainment provided by the fabulous local group The Sopranos we don’t need celebrity A listers to put on a good night everyone is welcome.
