Here I am, sitting in our RV in our favt campground, its raining and its cold. Did our walkies and poopies (dear Lord how can a dog poop three times in three hours?? thanks Rocky), had our supper, brought lots of old movies & TV series on DVD to watch for the next few days. But of course even ancient old me, goes nowhere without internet access, how could I miss you on FB for even a day, or the many rescues I keep an eye on, sharing the furkids who need our help and the goings on of the day. So, I checked the email both personal and for our With Hope They Waited orders as I do daily and what I found in an order for books, I simply have to share. I have been far too remiss about that lately, as there are so many good folks out there just like us, working, struggling, contributing and being a voice for the what we love and support. Our ever relentless quest to support animal rescue, and be a voice in the change to our animal welfare and protection laws in this province and Canada wide. Sometimes we need a hand up, pat on the back, boost, call it what you may, but emails and letters and cards and even phone calls over this past year have convinced me that I am in the right circle to do what my heart tells me is what I need to do. So heres the latest, and its a good one. Maybe Im simply wanting to tell all of the Mile 26 Family that you and your magical pups are still grabbing hearts, bringing inspiration and doing a darn fine job telling the world about the virtues and rewards of animal rescue and the joy it can bring to a human soul. Thank you Norma for bringing back into prospective for myself and many others the memories and many faces of the past 4 years, and why it all matters so much and is so special in our little Mile 26 Family. Of course her email got me all sentimental, and I started looking back over the past year, even tho its only September. If there isnt a photo here of a special moment we shared this past year, please add it, I know whatever it is or who ever you are it will be embraced. I have pictures and moments and special times embedded in my brain
