Here I go again.... Im confused. Yes, I know, a Freshman parent confused, how surprising. Ford Field, November 1, Amys schedule shows Trumpet as one of the sections providing the meal. (So far, I understand that I will need to bring a food item and likely serve it to the kids.) The Sign Up Genius email came (not generated from Amy) and it says that we need to deliver the food between 12:30 a.m. (30 minutes after midnight) and 3:30 p.m. I get that the a.m. was a typo, however, heres the rub: We are scheduled to go on between 12 noon and 3:30 p.m. at Ford Field. 1. Food is to be delivered to the school, the Sign Up Genius says. The kids wont be at the school during those times, theyll be in Detroit. 2. I dont think we can smuggle enough food to feed 150 people into the Ford Field Stadium; I dont even think they allow food to be brought in, they wont even allow a large purse to be brought inside, or even a camera case, according to their website. 3. No one will be parked in the same place, so finding a spot to tailgate doesnt seem reasonable. 4. What about feeding the kids before they leave for Detroit? Are we feeding them Chicken, desserts and bus snacks in the morning before they leave? And lastly, 5. Why feed them at the school, upon return when we can just take them home and feed them? I know that Ill be getting frustrated, condescending replies, but please dont, Im a wimp and cant take it. I have never done this, so I dont know how it works, but in my defense, there was another parent who is just as confused and she added that, while Amy shows trumpets responsible for the meal, the sign up email didnt show us feeding the kids, it showed other sections and left us out. I, and she, emailed the author of the email and have had no response.
