Here is how life works... You wanna fly to JFK from LAX and you have a month to plan it out, you get the cheapest fares and the best seat. If you wait until the last minute then you pay out the ass and probably sit pretty much wherever they have a spot for you. When you call me for a last minute event thats out of town, guess what, you now are going to pay a premium to get me to drop whatever plans I had 48 hours from now, drive 300 miles (or fly and put up with checked bag bullshit) and shoot your event. This is not to mention having to get my associate photographers to clear their schedules to fly out with me. Why are you so shocked when im charging you a premium for it? You could have booked me 3 months out when you had first inquired and I would have put you on my calendar and not made plans with my family and probably would have gotten a much cheaper flight... I just dont get the wait until the last minute in hopes of getting a killer discount mindset... I really dont...
