Here is what Im thinking about your idea Ryan. I think we should negotiate some kind of deal with Game Haven to use their place, something like $15 per 10 people. But if you bring a FULL rig (system, tv, game, AND power strip) you dont have to pay. Also you have to post that you are bringing a full rig to qualify (that way we can plan on how many and not for whatever reason have too many rigs). We will make sure that each tourny has at least 3 rigs (preferably 4). Problem with doing 64 is I dont know how many people own it. But if we can I would love to do it. As far as using Game Haven as our venue, I would like to only run 2 tournies there a week. Any more and It will be hard to organize. But if everyone thinks that we can, I am down to do it. So Im thinking one for singles, and one for doubles. And we will be sure to switch through all the games. We would do a rotating schedule. Melee ---> PM ---> (Brawl) ---> Sm4sh ---> (64) ---> Melee for singles. Doubles would be: PM ---> (Brawl) ---> Sm4sh ---> (64) ---> Melee ---> PM. Or something like that. And the ones in the () being by popular demand only (popular demand being defined as having enough rigs (3+) and a minimum of 10 people saying they want to play). I would love it if we had ways to communicate outside of just Facebook. So I think starting next tourny (at Game Haven) I will ask for everyones email and or phone. This is not mandatory. But it will help me organize events (make sure we have enough rigs, contact people to see if they want to come, etc.). And lastly, Im thinking it would be awesome if every week everyone donated a buck or 2 to the group. We would use that money to buy food, rigs, advertising, prize pools, and whatever else we need. This also wouldnt be mandatory. But I would take responsibility of this money, and I would make sure that it is kept track of (by posting the current club total once a week and stuff like that). I think this would help us in the long run, because we can use that money that we build up to sponsor people to go to Salt Lake, or Vegas to represent our crew, also to host epic crew battles between Cedar and St. George. I am very excited to be part of this group, and Im extremely excited that we are growing! I mean come on, 100+ people all ready! Thats awesome! Im excited for this coming year. Prepare those wrist straps. This is going to be an awesome year.
