Here we sit ladies and gentlemen. Opening night is upon us. It may be a NL game, but it is the long awaited end to the baseball drought. It is a time, when all of us can band together, as one and fly our flags and show our colors to our allegiance. Some of us are brewers, some of us are giants, others are red birds, we have indians, dodgers, angels and padres. some are orioles, others are royals, and far north we have mariners who have 2 of the best players in the game currently, and we have diamondbacks, astros, pirates and cardinals. some wake up and they are rays, others are blue jays, we cant forget about the rangers and tigers, we have marlins, even yankees, and phillies, mets and braves and athletics, we have cubs, white sox, twins and nationals and even rockies, and the best nation of all - the Boston Red Sox. for some of us, its a family tradition. others its adopted. but we all have one thing in common, we live to hear that beautiful phrase - play ball. we wait for the seventh inning stretch, and the crack of a homerun walk off, and cheer in happiness. we suffer a loss together, but we come back night after night. all in the chase of october baseball. we band together as a league for the allstar game, and showcase the best of the best. we support all athletes who showcase greatness of perfect games, no hitters, hitting for the cycle, even yankees who get 3000 hits or retire the best closer in the game. we support our countries in world baseball classic, and we always remember that look on the face of the child at there first major league game, ther first major league hot dog, seeing there faces light up when they catch a fowl or homerun, and scream when we lose. this is not just a sport, this is americas past time. this is major league baseball, full of victories, losses, history making and world series greatness. we are the greatest fans in the world. i am very proud to say that i am a part of the red sox nation, and a major league baseball fan. red sox 2014 w.s. champs again!!! WHOS WITH ME!!!
