Heres another demo I made on my old two track recorder with me on guitar and lead vocal and my dad on bass. The quality isnt very good, but its good enough to preserve for fond memory purposes. This is the first song I wrote with a persons name in it that I knew. I went to school with this gal and had a major crush on her. Even though my crush ran its course, I still tried my hand at writing a song about her. Its your basic rock and roll tune with a happy, upbeat melody. The lyrics leave a lot to be desired. I wrote this song and made this original demo with my father the same day. So basically, the entire song is a first draft. According to my notes, I re-wrote about 20% of these original lyrics since they always made me cringe, but that version isnt going to see the light of day. Regardless, I had fun recording it when I was 16 years old and had a fun time overdubbing the other instruments at 45 years of age. Boy how things change and yet still stay the same.
