Hey! Happy Tuesday to ya. Both of these pictures have haunted my mind, so of course I have to share. The first is the age old muscle vs fat commentary. One pound is and always will be one pound. So many people I chat with are so focused on that blasted scale, when in fact, if you are working out and being mindful of your diet, you may not lose one pound but your body changes could be amazing. One pound of fat is like 4 Xs the size of one pound of muscle!!! Look it the picture, believe in it and embrace it. Rid yourself of the pressure, enjoy your exercise and put on that smaller jean size!! Second picture: this picture blows out the old, Im just big boned excuses. But more importantly, it should make us keenly aware how hard our organs and joints have to work to carry around excessive amounts of weights. The stress placed on our body by carrying extra weight will eventually cause us to have serious health consequences. Its sad, really, to think about the loss of quality of life to something that is preventable or treatable. How do we prevent it or treat it? Take that first step of loving yourself enough to realize that your body will function better at a healthy weight, not the goal of being skinny, just healthy. Then do something about it. The prevention and the cure are the same: healthy eating and a body in motion. Make a great one by starting to love yourself! #Peacelovehealth
