Hey everyone! Not necessarily Riverwest specific news, but because this neighborhood is so dog lovin it felt appropriate to share this. Earlier this week my wife and I were struck with the tragic news that our 4 year old pup Klem has chronic kidney failure and her time is very limited. Our vet has gone above and beyond to make a horrible situation much easier. Most vets would have seen Klems creatinine levels and suggested Klem to euthanized. Our vet Noah Arnold at Thiensville-Mequon Small Animal Clinic has been diligent, using a collaborative approach to Klems condition. Hes been on the phone with different specialists and other vets to work on any anomalous circumstance that might prolong Klems stay. Because of his genuine care for us and our pup, weve discovered that her condition is chronic, not acute, and largely do to the fact that she was born with one kidney, a fact we didnt realize until he opted to go ahead with an x-ray. In a week that has included his anniversary with his wife and his sisters wedding, Noah has put Klem on his priority list, answering many phone calls and meeting us outside of his work hours to help facilitate in Klems care. Im not trying to cheaply plug his work, but having been faced with a tragedy I can say assuredly that a better vet would be damn hard to come by. If youre unsatisfied with the care your pet is getting, if you are a new pet owner, if you feel like there is anything a new vet can do for you, please take the drive down the Thiensville and visit Noah. His work is truly amazing. The picture included in this post was sent to me at 10 PM the day we learned of Klems prognosis. The day before his anniversary, Noah drove to the clinic to make sure Klem was comfortable and happy. Its been absolutely incredible working with him.
