Hey guys im going to tell a story about what happened at the Ramstien terminal this morning for about 2 to 3 hours starting when i woke up and entered the terminal. This story has every emotion we have as humans except for negative ones,hate,anger,etc. I will be presenting the peoples names based on what they did or do in life because i cant remember them. This morning when i walked in about 5:30 i went up stairs to where th USO has thier area, they have seating a tv computers, coffee snacks etc.it wasnt open yet but they still have left over coffe and snacks from the night before. I started talking to a man well call navy officer he told me he was leaving afganistan on emergency leave because his wife had breast cancer that she had just been diagnosed with the cancer and the was already in a very extreme state. He was very upset of course and was leaving that morning and would be back in san diego that night.Ramstien is the first and last place people who are going there or coming back stop, so you see are men and women coming and going all day. During this time the USO volunteer who i had never met before came in and started doing her thing, well call her beutiful lady. She is somewhere in her sixtys. I also noticed a lady from the night before who i had met sitting there doing her thing she was waiting for a flt to the states as well. Well call her lady i would date as well as retired U.S ARMY lady living in Belguim.she has to be pushing 70 or more and looks younger then me. I continued to talk to navy officer and he told me how hard it was to get out of afgan. It had taken him over 4 days to get to ram. Theres two ways in and out of afgan Kandahar and another place thats slipped my mind at the moment.The second place is called S--- hole because the base preimeter is so tight you can smell it continually no matter where your at. Navy officer and i continued to talk and of course i made him laugh and tryed to make him fell better. We both did our own things sitting there drinking coffe eating snacks. I went over to US ARMY LADY and we talked for a bit and i brought her over to navy officer and introduced him to her and all 3of us talked. Navy told her about what he was going thru and she started telling him about Treatments asians use to treat cancer. Certain types of mushrooms and a few other things that both of us wrote down.l walked away to do some things and introduced my self to USO beautiful lady. I loved her instantly and i believe she loved me as well. She is so kind and loving and she loves to laugh and play. She told me i had to leave the terminal and walk for fifteen minutes every time i had a piece of chocalote. I told her id make it twenty minutes.we both are kidders and we had it going on. They started calling for the flt to Baltimore which had just arrived Navy went and checked in. I continued to talk to Army and i asked her rank when she retired. I was thinking when she retired if she was enlisted it was going to be an E-9 witch is the highest enlisted rank you can achieve. If she was an officer i was going to guess at least a cernal or higher. She told me it was an E9 I told her what i was thinking before i asked the question.and all 3 of us laughed. She was called to check in and she said her goodbys to both navy and me and went on her way. Navy and I continued to talk and i saw USO and i went and grabed her to meet navy. He recieved more positive feelings from her in the way only beautiful can do. She huged him and went back to work. While they were talking a man came over to me who i had noticed the night before but didnt talk to.he introduced himself to me and we we began to talk.to make a long story short he told me he had listened too me the night before and this morning and was very complimentry to me.I introduced him to Navy and they had been on the same flt from afghan the night before.He was going home because his father had had a stroke and had died. He comforted navy and told him he was going thru so much more then he was.It is making me cry while i write this. He made navy feel better as well.He told us he worked for the Army Core of engineers as a civilian in afghan. He was in charge of The U.S. Environmental clean up there,he also told us about all the areas he travels to and spends alot of time sleeping under the stars.we started joking around about who was tougher and compared the gear we carry around. Of course i won he has a sleeping bag i have a small wool blanket. There flt was getting ready to leave and we said are good bys.I went back in The uso office were beautiful works and went on the computer. Engineer came back in and wanted to take a picture with me. We took the pic and he left again. He came back in againand said he had some things for me. It was trail mix and a few other things he also wanted me to stand up and try on a a XL long sleve Columbia omni shade sun protection shirt he had found in a trash can in afghan.he said it has a fewblack paint stains on the back.It fits perfect. He said he wore it the night before on the plane and it kept him warm.We again hugged and said goodby. Beutiful came over to me and said someone gave her 2 dollars to give to me.I told her it was her. She said shes not that nice.we laughed.and i know she didnt.that is all.GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME
