Hey were you there? Man I spend hours this evening listening to the songs that touched me and transport me back through the decades of my life.. Man it was therapeutic as hell. The pain that I endure daily was relieved for a while. and replaced by tears and joy at the same time. That is the coolest thing about music. I can remember bands like Bread,America, Three Dog Night, and The Stones. Dobie Gray The Doobie Brothers these 70s years were full of talent and the songs that haunt me I forgot how much music has influenced me and somehow I quit spending those meditating seclusion with headphones on and just rockin. There is a mental playground in my head and I am amazed that every song I listened to tonight takes me away to where I always wanted to be . In my teenage years it was in my room that I thought about what my life would be? I find it to be no where to what I thought it would be. Reflection is an important element to growth, and each of the songs I listened to launched me back in time just like a time machine. What is more exciting is we each have the same ability to take a trip down memory lane and each have a different memory when we hear a song. Our lives are encapsulated in snippets by music, a song transport you back. You can sit in a room with various people and a particular song playing will initiate a different memory for each person instantly.. Maybe I have stumbled on a cure for the whole world, Listen to Music , whatever genre whatever makes you smile- take a mental vacation, a mental round -the -world excursion by yourself, visiting your past vicariously. It will renew your spirit, your youth, energize your creativity and imagination, restore and repair your heart and let you re-visit past friends that have just faded away. Sometimes taking that trip down memory lane is the best escape, even for a short time... I wish you well and stay thirsty my friends. I don;t care what people say ....
