Hi Everyone, Heartfelt is one of many charitable groups that uses mycause.au as a service for people to create fundraising pages. Unfortunately the service has been targeted in a cyber attack. abc.net.au/news/2014-08-01/thousands-victim-credit-card-fraud-hacking-mycause-website/5642694 If you used the service in the last few months, can you carefully check your credit card transactions. Here is a message from mycause ------------------------------------------------- What you should do: Please check your credit card statement for any fraudulent activity If you suspect any fraudulent transactions please immediately contact your bank or card issuer Please advise us if your card has been compromised. Standard mycause website status Mycause does not store credit card data at all in our database or in any log files or transaction files Mycause has an SSL encryption on payment forms tested for the Heart Bleed vulnerability What mycause is doing Mycause acknowledge that a security breach has occurred. We are working with our server providers and our gateway provider ANZ as well as two large internet security firms to solve and remediate the problem. At this stage mycause have no clear answer on the cause of the security breach. Please rest assured that mycause are taking this issue extremely seriously and are pushing all available resources to the problem. Mycause is devastated by this occurrence and understand that it has severely inconvenienced some donors and for that we apologise.
