Hi all, Im hoping I can draw on some of your experiences here...our ardennes mare was covered 3 weeks ago. We covered her on the last few days f her season and she was also jabbed into ovulation between coverings. They all went really well. She was due in season a week ago last monday and there was no sign of it. She is always easy to predict from the first to the last day as she is kept with our gelding. She has gone all the way until today (8 days overdue) with still no sign of season. She was scanned tonight and to our surprise we were told she is not pregnant. I couldnt believe it. I was wondering if any of you have had experience of mares being incorrectly scanned and actually turning out to be in foal. The vet that jabbed her has said that she sounds in foal so we are now watching her closely and if she still hasnt come in season 40 days after her last covering she will be blood tested to see if it was scanned incorrectly.
