Hi everyone! Do you all remember the story PETA put out saying that Seaworld uses black sunscreen on orcas to cover wounds? Well, after reading some posts by Bridgette Pirtle and reading responses from a few other ex trainers (some who worked the same years as Sam Berg and Carol Ray), it can be confirmed that this was a hype story with no facts behind it. All have said that this is 100% not true. Its almost like when PETA claimed that Seaworld feeds its orcas an unnatrual diet of animal bones. What this really means upon further reading (which most people DO NOT do), it says that the whales are sometimes given gelatin as a treat or hydrator. But the claim makes people who wont read further think that the orcas are chewing on bones as their meals. Organizations that constantly spin stories and manipulate people should not be allowed. End of story. Especially if they are non-profit. ~Mary
