Hi everyone. Kathleen here. Im on my way to Cincinnati for tomorrows 6th Circuit arguments in the Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee marriage cases. Im hoping to get one of the coveted few seats available in the courtroom. On Thursday, I will be backing off my duties here for a few weeks to have time for some life things other than my advocacy work. I wont be gone completely, but will not be on full time as I am now. Several people have generously stepped forward to help cover things here in my absence: Jason Hewett, MEUSAs Thom Watson, and (EQCFs summer intern!) Kassandra Shore. Between the three of them (and me, when Im around) we hope to keep things running fairly smoothly. Theyve all jumped in feet first without much training and not much experience in the ways Scribd can make ones life miserable. So please be patient and kind and show them lots of love for their willingness to give of their time and energy. Also, please understand if your legal-type questions dont get answered right away. Im very grateful to the team and thankful for everyones participation here. Lets get this done!
