Hi,is anyone attending IFFI, Goa...if so please share ur experience...Sharing some of my favorites that I managed to catch at Mumbai Film Festival Films: 1- Pride (UK)- Based on a true story about a LGBT community that decides to support striking miners who are facing similar issues 2- Nymphomaniac (Dannish/UK) – Another philosophical classic of Lars Von Trier. (Shared my views in earlier post) 3- Shcimbare (Spanish) – Story of a rich couple who are forced to do a Dirty Job which is typically outsourced to the poors. 4- Difret (Ethiopian)- Story of trial of a 14 yr girl who kills a rapist. Movie makes you realize that problems of women are similar across world. 5- Labour of Love (Indian)- The film does not have any dialogues but as the sound designer puts it “Everything speaks except humans”. Documentaries: 1- Lessons in Dissent (Hong Kong)- About the occupation protest by a group of Secondary School students against the Politicized education. 2- Playing with Fire (Greece)- A greek actress who visits Kabul to teach ancient Greek theatre documents hardships of Afghani woman artists 3- Red Army (Russian)- Documentary depicts how Russia and America were using sports for their political Propaganda. Some missed ones which were recommended by other Cinephiles: 1- Whats the time in your world (Iran)- https://youtube/watch?v=zRTX7hGPjlw 2- Killa (India) 3- 71 (UK)- https://youtube/watch?v=kIYDNyEkJP4 4- Corn Island (Georgia/Germany)- https://youtube/watch?v=b5Fc9ydpP_Q
