History doesnt give out As for effort or participation trophies. Here we are...New terrorists, same as the old terrorists...7000 US service members dead, 100,000 Iraqi civilians, 20,000 Afghan civilians, millions of refugees created, no sign of lasting stability in the region, no additional revenue streams or resources, and no marked improvement in the daily lives of anyone, anywhere. So commemorate the fact that we can still retreat back to a place where we as Americans can still armchair quarterback foreign policy, advocate for military action because of a handful of high profile executions of American citizens, and pretend like we still somehow have the right to complain about our buildings falling down. All we have done would be so disappointing to those we lost that day. So to be clear, this is me, chastising every one of you who hasnt put the two and two together and figured out that the great and bountiful western empire is in a state decline fueled by the ignorance and indifference of its people.
