Hola de Nuevo! Episode 60 of #SantaDiabla on #Telemundo: In which Santa Martinez holds a prime-time press conference, to tell the world how bad the Cano family is, and somehow, we end up feeling sorry for Humberto. I have no idea how it happened, but I felt sorry for Humberto during that press conference. Maybe its because by now we have seen Willie cheating on his wife Santa with Danielle, (a teenage girl who actually would cry over spilled milk), Ines (disturbed) and Begonia ( his mother in law). (I wonder if he was giving Begonia piano lessons, too.) And Humberto did not know anything about the plot to have Willie killed (or Mr Robledos plot to pretend Willie was killed in prison and then keep him locked up in the basement of the cabana, never shaving and eating the same brown-bag lunch (literally) every day.) In any event, I have no idea how Santa has the juice to call a press conference since she is a housewife from the fictional State of Marrero, but she does! (I wish I could call a press conference right now. If I could, I would announce this: 1. Every episode of LaPatrona. 2. 60 episodes of SantaDiabla. 3. One season of LaVoz Kids. 4. A Marc Anthony concert. And I am on my way to speaking Spanish! Then I would put on my sunglasses , announce that the press conference was over, and I am not taking any questions.) So Santa has the press conference, and lays out for the press how the Canos framed her husband, Willie Delgado. I think she explained the motive for accusing him of the rape of Danielle was in retaliation for his not accepting Barbaras advances. Now having some idea of Willies character (or lack of character is more like it), I am really surprised that he did NOT go for Barbara. It certainly cant be because he was already hooking up with her daughter Danielle, since he was already in a relationship (if you can call it that) with his mother in law Begonia. Santa really focuses most of her speech on Humberto. (PS-Santiago is in the audience because he followed Santa from the Cano mansion to the press conference.) Anyway, Santa explains the frame of Willie, which led to the destruction of Delgado the family and I think she said that his widow and her young son had to sleep in a car so that she could pay off the lawyers. Let me tell you something: NO ONE SLEEPS IN A CAR SO THAT THEY CAN PAY THEIR LAWYERS. No one. Humberto watches the press conference in his office and gets drunk. His new dad Mr Robledo tries to watch it with him but Humberto physically throws him out. Maybe Dad should have brought snacks and a bigger allowance. Barbara watches the press conference in her mothers bedroom with Jorge and her mother, and she slaps Jorge really hard when Santa talks about the proof being on a cellphone, and yells at Jorge that it is all his fault. Not her fault, her mothers fault, her brothers fault, or her daughters fault. Nope. Its JORGEs fault. Paula is watching whole lurking in a doorway. Begonia and little Willy watch from the Delgado cottage, which they have moved back into. Arturo and Lisette miss it, because Mrs Hitler threw them and the baby out because Lisette wont sell the baby to her. And when its all over, Santa says: In case you are wondering why I know so much about Willie Delgado it is because I am his wife, and my name is Santa Martinez. Or something like that. I am still learning Spanish! Of course none of this is news to Humberto. But Ill tell you what. If you ever saw the original version of the movie The Producers, with Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel, and you can remember the expression of the people in the audience during the song Springtime for Hitler, then you know what the faces of the Cano family looked like!!!! Ok mis amigos, I have more to tell you about tonights episode, and I promise to tell you mañana!! In the meantime, MUCHAS gracias for reading this, and please enjoy it!! Besos!!
