Holding the Line--literally--On Immigration It has been a crazy two days here. The Senate has abandoned their post and fled D.C. For all their whining and sniveling about wanting a border bill, when it came time to do something they went AWOL. In the House, we had two bills dropped yesterday to address the current border surge of illegal aliens. These aliens were encouraged to come here by President Obama and the democrats who apparently would like to add more people to our entitlement programs, increase unemployment and otherwise wreak havoc in our country. I was against both bills and actively worked to kill them. One bill would have granted de facto amnesty to 500,000 unaccompanied minor illegal aliens from 2012 to yesterday. I could not support that. And I fought it. We are looking at revised bills today. Rest assured I am focusing on border security, including funding the National Guard to help on the border with payments to the states. I will not vote for any amnesty bill or any bill that adopts the Presidents unlawful deportation order (called DACA). Enjoy this article on my efforts!
