Holy God, Maker of all things, Forgive my complacency at the natural order of the world. The flowering rebirth of spring, Sweeping vibrant rainbows of summer, The flaunting brilliance of fall, And the recuperative snows of winter. All these I accept without thought or thanks. Forgive me. Today I treasure the fleeting brush of breeze, The symphony of a pond-side chorus, Myriad scents and tastes of bounteous fields, The painted vault of evening skies, And especially the miracle of life in Your image. I rejoice in my blessings. Pour out Your peace, Father God, Enfold me in Your love, I pray. Grant me wisdom for the day, Guard my thoughtless lips and Grace my efforts of compassion. Amen mg – 6/13
