Homeschool adventures: I got the Achievement Tests results turned in today, Jaden and Lydia are both done for 5th and 6th grade, all results from the 5th to 8th stanine, so they pass. Next: setting curriculum for our first year of homeschool. First off: setting up a points system. do chores, do worksheets and read. READ( big thing)and earn points toward computer time (the coveted computer time!) --but what about behavior issues? Jaden wouldnt ever mouth off or talk back to a teacher, but even when he calls me Teacher Mommy, he is still rude and frustrated. So I get frustrated. And I loose my patience. So I want a rule. I want a demerit system. I want points. And I want punishment. for ME, when I loose my patience, I want them to give ME demerit points and pick my punishment..which will be a combination of education and humility: Lydia suggested that i would have to recite Shakespeare on the Downtown Mall on video to get out of my suspension. Im good with that. We need a video camera, someone stole ours.
