House Passes Amendment to Restrict DHS Ammunition Purchases – Huge Victory For Peace, Likely Because of Activism Print Friendly The House of Representatives passed an amendment recently, restricting the Department of Homeland Security from stockpiling ammo, without providing “valid reason”, and having the reasons approved by Congress. After the DHS ordered over a billion hollow point bullets, there was a massive uproar from the independent media and conscious people and activists everywhere, people concerned about a military dictatorship, martial law, or a similar scenario. This is a huge victory for activists, and goes to show that activism absolutely is working, and CAN prevent a scenario like a military dictatorship in an economic collapse. Representative Mark Meadows said “Earlier this year, we learned that DHS solicited bids for 1.1 billion rounds of ammunition. That is more than 10 times the amount that the department purchased in the fiscal year 2012.” An interesting point to make about this, is that the political dialogue paints the DHS, rightfully, as a potentially dangerous group. These restrictions do not come from people who believe the DHS is there to protect anyone except the government, so that’s a significant point for anyone who still believes this government agency is beneficial. Apparently, the members of the House of Representatives and some people in government must do SOMETHING to retain any credibility, give some reason for the citizens to allow this out of control system to exist. This is a huge victory for activists, and those who spread awareness about this issue should feel accomplished. Well done you activists and conscious people out there, fighting for liberty. The effects of the Truth/Liberty Movement just so far, have been enormous, geopolitical, global in influence, and widespread, viral, and unstoppable, like no other movement in history. As depicted on a visualization of US drone strikes in Pakistan from 2004-2013, the drone strikes have abruptly stopped for an unknown reason, since January 2013. Is activism and the explosion of independent media to thank for this? With the NSA scandals, massive public awareness of the coercive nature of government at an all time high, the general scandalous nature of government becoming more and more visible, and perhaps most importantly, the explosive renaissance of independent news and media, holding government accountable, restoring liberty, keeping peace, and all of the things humanity has always dreamed of, are more possible and realistic then ever. Activists, Truthers, real journalists like Glenn Greenwald, groups like The Houston Free Thinkers, well done. The work of independent journalists and activists is enormously influential, especially now, and it can only get better from here it seems. Some Brazilian people I spoke with even said that the American/UK Liberty Movement was a huge inspiration for a lot of people protesting in Brazil recently. Our work is visibly having a positive effect, on people on countries all over the world, inspiring individuals to stand up, and peacefully defend the liberties and natural rights we human beings deserve. ***** Read more articles by this author HERE.
