How did we get here? Just six years after the flagrant - TopicsExpress

How did we get here? Just six years after the flagrant irresponsibility of some Wall Street banks erased the savings of thousands of Americans and nearly brought down the global economy, Congress removes one of the key provisions passed to discourage that kind of irresponsibility. Perhaps there are good arguments for removing the so-called push-out law. But Congress did not eliminate this law after debating and voting on its merits. They inserted language into a take-it-or-disaster spending bill. The language was not written by the Congressman who sponsored it, or by any elected representative. It was written by Citigroup. Have House Republicans stopped even pretending they work for the American people?
