How things come to happen in our lives… On Mt Adams, Dale - TopicsExpress

How things come to happen in our lives… On Mt Adams, Dale tells Steve she wants to do more birding… Steve introduces me to Dale via email… Telling me Dale lives in Corvallis and is interested in birding… I send Dale several emails to coordinate a birding experience… The Airlee-Albany Christmas Bird Count would be a perfect opportunity To teach someone more about birding. I meet Dale and her husband Bart And share a kindred spirit conversation… We plan to do the count… Then the count organizer gives me The names of the people who will coordinate my access to Thornton Lake. Alan and Annette.. Turns out Alan is the potter who made my dish ware And I need to replace a creamer I broke several several years ago.. Synchronicity I think…. or is it just what happens in small towns? I have others who offer to help, so it looks like it is going to be a party. Dale puts word out on her neighborhood email list And now Bob, another Bob, age 88, wants to watch birds at his feeder. I visit Bob and he has a ton of birds… Varied Thrush, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Downy Woodpecker, Anna’s Hummingbirds Dale returns from South Carolina in early stages of recovery from a serious cold Others have sinus infections… Alan is out of creamer’s… There is ice covering East Thornton Lake… So much for synchronicity.. Or maybe I am flying too low And don’t see the big picture… yet.. That is how I came to birding and kayaking West Thornton Lake alone yesterday… Under perfect conditions… totally enjoying the serenity of it all... Observing 34 species in an hour and half paddle… All to say, it is interesting how things come to happen in our lives...
