How to install a disc version of Mac OS X. Turn on your Mac and hold the Option key to get to the startup manager, then insert the disc. Click on it. Click on install Mac OS X. Click options, Disk Utility, Erase, Exit DU, Click continue, If youd like on the select a destination screen click customize, and unselect anything you may not want/need. Click install. Upon reboot click continue, Leopard and Snow Leopard users! If you wish you may restore your Mac from Time Machine, or your data from another Mac via Target Disk over FireWire. Click continue, Select a type of internet connection, Language, and time zone, and if applicable enter your Apple ID. Once finished be sure to check for updates by clicking software update.
