Hubby and I just got back from the Amish Community near us. Needed a new belt for my grandmas treadle and another New Home Treadle I have. Had checked out Ebay for them but decided to check there first - found them at the 1st store for $1.60 each !!! They also work on treadles out there they said - altho mine should be fine, I am happy to know that. In this same store Leftys I browsed thru her fabric bolts and got some 100% cotton broadcloth for $1.75 a yard!!!!! and some pretty print for $2.50 a yard - cant beat that even with Joanns 50% off coupons!!! I will be going back for more of that fabric and probably pick up a few extra belts too. Also got some of the large spools of all purpose thread for $1.80 a spool, half of what our Joanns charges. And some machine needles for $1.75. oh also got a rotary cutter, 45 mm, for $4.50. Then on to the grocery store and got 5 lbs of real American Cheese for $13 and 5 pounds of Colby Jack for $20 plus sugar for $2 a bag !!!, some of those work gloves with grippers on the palms for $1,75 a pair - our son installs sprinkler systems and those are great for holding onto the pipes to install; some K-cup Donut Shope coffee for $3.50; and lots of other bargains - but those were the ones I was happiest about !!!!! Our Amish Community rocks !!
