Hurray, got my Visa and E-ticket ready, flying to the UK on 1st November for two weeks to attend and facilitate in a conference of Clinical psychologist trainers in Lancaster University. When I was in the UK last year Sept to Dec on my Common Wealth professional fellowship, I visited Lancaster University and found Mental health service users gave lectures to medical and psychology students about their personal experience in lecture rooms. The resource of service users being experts by experience was being tapped and giving the users meaningful occupation like lecturing trainees enhanced their recovery. I got interested in this Model and followed it up leading to this visit am going on and a visit of clinical psychologists and trainees from Lancaster university is being planned for January to introduce this practice in Uganda. Can you imagine, soon we shall be lecturing at Makerere as expats by experience. TALK OF FROM VICTIM TO VICTOR. CHEERS ps. Had made the mistake of posting a photo of my visa with this and was advised by knowledgeable friends here that I can be impersonated. I have removed it but hope am not too late. Pray for me, having the visa stolen would not hurt me as someone impersonating me and committing a serious crime. OMG, I can be dumb!!!
