"Hypothesis of the Antithesis of the Incumbent" propounded by me. every incumbent has positives and negatives. the more you stay in power, the more your negatives alienate people. 3-4 times is enough time for your detractors and people you have alienated to mass up majority and vote you out! Even your own party mebers want to also become presidents and they will not expect you to be there for ever. so the only way an incumbent can stay in power for up to 7 rounds is to suppress oppositon both within and out side his own party and then manipulate the electoral process. let me add that, this is my position, and you need not agree with me.
