Andes Clinic This work is titled “Entropy”. It is painted with Acrylic and Aerosol on panel and is based in Physics and its relation to Humanity. Entropy is the scientific term for the breaking down of higher energy states to weaker ones. It is the force of nature which we fight in order to live better lives full of excitement, love and knowledge, and free of sickness and disease. I use the Entanglement Theory which states in the most simplistic, albeit comforting terms, that we are all connected. While the Quantum world of Physics remains an unimaginable idea to some, it has, through technology, become a reality. Our tools have gotten better so we can now see this atomic world in real time and high definition. The use of ultra violet light in my work is significant in the fact that it unveils a hidden world of color blind to the human sight. Butterflies and bees use this higher wavelength of light to navigate flowers. This navigation is the most important key to our survival as a species because without plants, most species will die. My hope is to change the conversation of people in everyday life; to change the conversation towards what really matters today. Hunger, Disease, Peace, Discovery of life, Science, Maths, and the list can go on for days and days. The disease of Hepatitis effects many, as well myself, very personally and emotionally. I hope that this work can remind us that we are suffering alone all too often. Most understandably, it is because we are afraid to unite, to use this amazing technology and science for the good of Humanity by curing diseases, thusly changing and improving the world as a whole. If I have helped your conversations change, I hope they are for the better. By owning this painting, made from my purest heart and soul, you have helped the conversation change for sick brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers, all of them are still like children with eyes still gazing up with longing for safety, compassion, caressing and nurturing arms which will take away the pain and fear. Those eyes are still longing for a cure. Thank you all for sharing my Universe with me and for helping the cure found for everyone. Please do not forget all of the warriors in this fight for a cure. The ones here today, the ones past, and the ones elsewhere who are fighting right now. The noble doctors here and afar, the compassionate nurses sacrificing hours of family time and sleep, the clinics who arrange care minute by minute, care driven with purest soul by the will to heal. Those offering an open hand to the fallen bodies and broken spirits, to the families who suffer as their loved ones pain washes over them, enveloping their lives, working without a paycheck or any desire for one, and the beloved friends who sacrifice hours and feel the pain along side of you.
