I STAND WITH THEM! I held off till this last funeral was complete. But has anyone noticed how liberals pulled off their latest smoke and mirrors maneuver to shut down dissenters? While criminals protested for months, barely a word was said. The minute police turned their backs on a liberal mayor, the police were chastised for showing disrespect by liberals and the media. Criminals burned businesses, robbed, looted, blocked traffic among other criminal activities. People threw rocks, flaming objects, spit on and shot at the police. Police were forced into NOT doing their jobs, stand back, watch, take all the taunting and attacks, barely defending themselves. Our president, attorney general and even the mayor of New York provoked and encouraged uncivil actions for weeks by saying they understand the “protesters” anger, rather than demanding that the illegal activity and protesters STOP committing their crimes. The very day the police made a single silent gesture, the liberals and media said “the police were disrespectful”. For what? The police said nothing. They broke no laws, they didn’t even give this cowardly mayor the middle finger. They simply turned their backs. I say, GOOD FOR THEM! I stand with them! And before anyone tries to tell me the cops signed up for this and are supposed to be better than the general public, I say, THEY HAVE BEEN AND THEY ARE. I say the average citizen ALSO has a responsibility to act civilly, show respect and obey the law. When they don’t, why doesn’t our president and other leaders demand that the public act civilized? Why isn’t the mayor demanding the public behave as much as he disparages the police? Talk about gamesmanship by liberals to shut down free speech when the tables are turned on them.
