I admit it: I have a gamboling problem.... AND a spell-checker - TopicsExpress

I admit it: I have a gamboling problem.... AND a spell-checker AND a good dictionary, so I wasn’t trying to write “gambling”. The dictionary (yes, I’ve been at it again) defines gamboling as “running or jumping about playfully”. No doubt about it, I do enjoy my gambols, sometimes embarrassing people I’m with but I have to say that I am unrepentant! Let me quote LaurieAnn Lepoff, dance instructor extraordinaire, who “... envisions a world in which dancing is natural to everyone. Where people break into spontaneous dance with strangers whenever the music motivates them, inspired by street musicians or the musak in the aisles of grocery stores. Because when people have joy in their lives, they contribute more joy to the world.” Now THAT’S a world I’d absolutely enjoy each and every day! So is it incredibly macho of me to “run or jump about playfully”? Hell, yeah! You know why? Because I said so! Think about it, what defines a truly macho man if it isn’t being someone who doesn’t allow someone ELSE to define him! Hey guys, feel free to break into dance whenever and wherever it suits you. Ladies, in case you were wondering, note that LaurieAnn’s vision was for everyone; I just thought the guys could use a little extra encouragement. If any of you needs a little trick to ease your way into all this fun, try dancing a bit or just jumping around the next time you’re out in the backyard, or the park, or out on a trail. Try it alone if you’d prefer. Find someone you think would share your enthusiasm and invite them along. Who knows, you might create your very own flash mob! Along those lines, I want to leave you with this video a friend of mine gave me. His friend was quite literally prepping for having surgery and, well, check out the video (select this URL and go to it): youtube/watch?v=uPdheFjRm4E Have a great week and gambol on!
