I am a retired Air Force officer who regularly visits the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. I find the waiting time for treatment to be very reasonable. The personnel, without exception, are welcoming, warm and friendly. Treatment is excellent and preventive programs are very-effective. Handling of claim-related problems is efficient and effective. To sum up, I have no problems with the Syracuse VA facilities. My only complaint is with the ridiculous amount of time the VA takes to handle and resolve my additional claim. Its been over a year since these claims were submitted and it appears that resolution my still be a year away. That is ridiculous!!
