I am ecstatic to announce that the Siena College Model United Nations team for 2014-2015 has been assigned to our first choice, to represent Chile! We will be represented in the Security Council, and all other major committees. With a delegation consisting of 20 delegates, we are excited to begin preparation for the conference! We have also amended the Constitutions Mission statement to the following: The Siena College Model United Nations team is dedicated to understanding Franciscan Values of Diversity, Optimism, Respect, and Service through learning about different international issues to broadening their perspectives of the world. By trying to understand and come to a consensus on these pressing world issues, students will apply classroom knowledge in a hands-on manner. Participating delegates will receive the opportunity to attend the Harvard National Model United Nations Conference, where they will represent Siena to the best of their ability. It is the responsibility of the executive board members, along with the faculty adviser to prep attending delegates, and assure that they are prepared for the conference. Miss you guys! (:
