I am honored to raise awareness for rmhc.org The 1st time I saw the ice bucket challenge several months ago the people doing it named their charity of choice and had to do it only if they didnt donate. I paused and thought what a silly thing...give and you shall receive so why dump ice cold water on your head vs just giving??? Then it went viral. Recently, I have donated to ALS each time nominated but have realized that if I dont actually do the ice bucket challenge I will never escape the ice bucket challenge. The financial impact and awareness for ALS is incredible. My son is now aware of a disease for which he would not know otherwise. However, our lives and many around us have been affected by many ailments & life threatening diseases that impact families and their children. RMHC helps lessen the burden. Children should not have to fight for their lives but should be chasing their dreams So we did the ice bucket challenge on behalf of RMHC, another great charity worthy of awareness.
